SNORKELLING & SWIMMING

With the most prestine lagoons in the world, getting in the water is an absolute must-do in The Cook Islands. The island is completely surrounded by beaches and almost everywhere is open to the public. Make sure to rent some snorkel gear and a kayak and explore our beautiful waters.

CROSS ISLAND WALK

Rarotonga provides beautiful lush hillsides that make for fun hiking. There is a cross-island trek which you can do on your own and without a guide. We advise that you start from the town side and walk across to Wigmore's Waterfall where you can have a fresh dip after your hike.

SATURDAY MARKET
ISLAND CYCLING

Renting a bicycle and cycling the island is a great way to see the island while getting a little exercise. There is only one main road on Rarotonga which goes in a circle, so you can't get lost :)
Rarotonga is 31km in cicumference and takes about 2-4 hours to cycle comfortably. You can plan to stop into cafes and some beach bars on your cruise!

LAGOON CRUISES

Probably the most popular activity in Rarotonga (besides laying on the beach), a lagoon cruise is the best way to have some fun and adventure on the water. Lagoon cruises usually operate daily (except Saturdays which is market day) and start from around 10am. You get to explore the best snorkeling areas, feed hundreds of fish, have a fresh fish bbq lunch, and enjoy fantastic shows and performances.

Located in town at the Punanganui Market, every Saturday morning is the Rarotonga Market Day. Shopping, local craft, fruits, food and shows present a fantastic activity that every visitor has to experience.
